On February 2, our boys participated in Scout Sunday. Participating in events like Scout Sunday not only builds character but it also serves our community. A big Thank you to Faith Lutheran for allowing us to participate.

A few weekends ago our Boy Scout Troop braved the snow and had an incredible time at Klondike! We saw some amazing teamwork, especially during the sled competition and tug-of-war – you guys were unstoppable! 🏆 We’re thrilled to announce we placed SECOND overall! Huge congrats to all the Scouts for their hard work and enthusiasm.

A few weekends ago our Boy Scout Troop braved the snow and had an incredible time at Klondike! We saw some amazing teamwork, especially during the sled competition and tug-of-war – you guys were unstoppable! 🏆 We’re thrilled to announce we placed SECOND overall! Tonight our Troop celebrated our Spring COH. From welcoming in a new scout, awarding Firem’n Chit & Totin’Chip, celebrating a second place victory at Klondike, 18 merit badges awarded, 1 Tenderfoot, 2 second class, and 5 first class advancements,new leadership, to David Bull’s commencement, it was definitely a night filled with accomplishment and love. We are so proud of our troop family.

Sparks flew and skills were forged as our troop tackled the Welding merit badge! 💥🔥 Huge thanks to Local Union 467 for sharing their expertise and giving the boys hands-on experience. They learned about safety, techniques, and the art of creating with metal. Last week, the boys enjoyed a night hike.

Troop 726 overcame the rugged terrain, high altitude hiking and difficult weather of Northern Yosemite for 7 days of backpacking hiking for a total of 58 miles. The magnificent scenery and personal accomplishment made it all worth it. The boys even completed a conservation project by adding a rock walking path to a creek crossing for future hikers use. I think we can say the 50mile was a success! #castrovalley #boyscouts #50miler #adventure #yosemite #backpacking #hiking #troop726

Another Eagle project in the books! David Bull’s Eagle project was to collect much needed supplies such as diapers, bedding, toiletries and children’s items for FESCO (Family Emergency Shelter Coalition) whose mission is to assist the unhoused toward self-sufficiency. Donations were collected at Faith Lutheran Church and delivered to the Banyan House in June. Based on the amount of donations collected, we would say his Eagle project was a success! 5 scouts spent the weekend hiking and camping out at @pointreyesnps they did the 14 mile trek and was not disappointed when they reached Alamere Falls. Alamere Falls is a beautiful waterfall with water cascading over a 40 foot tall cliff onto the beach. Alamere is one of two waterfalls that leads into the ocean. Last year some of these boys completed a 50mile backpacking trip where they were able to see the other waterfall McWay. #castrovalley #bayarea #scouting #hiking #waterfall

Happy Memorial Day. Our troop spent the weekend placing and removing flags on the tombstones of each veteran at @lonetreecemetery honoring the brave men and women who served our country.
